This should be in the Processor section, but whatever...........
There is no direct correlation between mhz and FLOPS. Mhz is simply the raw speed of the processor, while FLOPS refers to the number of floating point operations a given processor can do. To an extent, this is why AMD processors can operate at the same efficiency, while the clock speed is much lower. Another example is the current PS2 processor (the Emotion Processor, I believe it's called)........while only 300mhz, it performs the same amount of FLOPS as a much, much faster desktop processor. _________________ Big enough to scare you |
