so i had to RMA my pc5000 dfi nf4 special edition, very helpful, OCZ are very good to deal with, he explained to me that it was a common problem that the old chips on the ram were fading and could no longer run DDR625, so they`re gonna send me 1 gig of the platinum Extreme edition pc4800 stuff, i only have to pay 2 dollars in shipping, wooot.! specs:

that is some very nice memory you are going to be getting. They use TCCD chips on the Elite so you get a very wide range of OCing options at a lower voltage than using BH5 chips.
Did the OCZ guy say what chips were used in the DFI series? For some reason I have a feeling they used micron chips. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

OMFG, i love OCZ and reccomend their products with warranties, not only did i get my NEW RMA'd amazing memory in less than 218 hours after filing for RMA, but they threw in some OCZ poly what ever silver 5+ thermal coumpound, OCZ kicks, and the TCCD chips run about 10 points faster in read and write than the BH-5's _________________ My setupd:

well after doing a little research I found that the DFI special OCZ was using TCC5 chips. A close relative of the TCCD. But overall the TCCD performs a little better. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

yah DJ they are really some of the best memory chips ive ever used, theres a ton of flexibility, we're talking going from DDR 400 2-2-2-5, to easily OC of DDR625 and + @ 2.5-4-4-10, all 1 T of course :), and never going over 2.8v, sick a$$ chips. _________________ My setupd:

Sweet ram, I may go that way on my next build, though I may have to stick to my 1gb Corsair 3200XLpro. Money and availability issues.... _________________ Phenom II x4 955 @ Stock

money issues yes . I am currently running my gig of Rosewill ram on my optie 170 system. I havent had an issue but I cant wait to replace this stuff with the above OCZ stuff. So I can seehow far I can push my optie. _________________ Remember When Sex was safer than racing???
