COMPUTER CASE REVIEWS,
COMPUTER POWER SUPPLY, ASSESSORY & CASE MODDING REVIEWS,

the button at the bottom that takes you the the forums is a broken link.

sorry for the triplet posts, cant delete/repost

Another point for that one.

http://www.tweaknews.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6359
(post is "Technically I commited a crime......twice.." )

Dead link in chit chat: "no topic exists". This is one I posted but something didn't go right.

A small detail, but not really a problem, is the "emoticons" title in the posting window is highlighted and underlined (links to a advert like certain words do in the forum posts), whereas the "view more emoticons" link is a dull blue and does'nt look like a link. Some users might get confused and click the wrong link by accident (happened to me while I was slightly wasted ).

On the new Corsair DDR500 review, right below the picture on the first page, the word is though and should be thought.

You and I vs. the website. How about it? Very Happy

I mean sorting it out, finishing the design/integration, fixing minor errors (such as alignment), etc, whatever...

Yeah, you're a little late on that one............I mentioned it 12 hours after the new header went live. 6 months ago?

I'm guessing that's an issue with PHBbb and the portal Nathan uses for everything other than the forum. If that's the case, I'd probably leave the front page, news, and reviews looking neat and aligned, it's just us uber-geeks that really visit the forums enough to notice it.

Oh, on the main forum page:

Should be "LAN Parties" not "LAN Party's".

I'll find what I can and try to make it easy to show what's wrong.

All of these are on the FAQ page.

Under "I registered but cannot login!" in the sentence "If this is not the case then maybe your account need activating." Need should be needs.

The following sentence, "Some boards will require all new registrations be activated". It needs to read "all new registrations to be activated."

Under the heading "User Preferences and settings", shouldn't settings be capitalized as well?

Under "My language is not in the list!" there isn't a period at the end of the paragraph.

Under "How do I create a poll?" there isn't a period at the end of the paragraph.

"How do I edit or delete a poll?" is also missing a period at the end of the paragraph.

"Who wrote this bulletin board?" is also missing a period at the end of the paragraph.

Under "Whom do I contact about abusive and/or legal matters related to this board?", the third sentence, "If still get no respose..." there should be you between if and still.

The following still occur on the FAQ page, but involve spelling and grammar.

Every time "timezone" is used, shouldn't it be "time zone"?

Under "What are sticky topics?" should there be a space in "viewforum" in the first sentence?

----------------------------------
That's all that I found skimming over the FAQ page. All the links on the page work that I've found. I'll check out some other pages later on.

After clicking the "Reviews" button at the top of the page and scrolling down to the "COMPUTER KEYBOARD/MOUSE.CONTROLLER/MOUSEPAD REVIEWS" section, the . between MOUSE and CONTROLLER should be replaced with a /

Also on the main page for Reviews, it would make more sense to me if the section of "MISCELLANEOUS REVIEWS" got moved to the very last, since it is Miscellaneous :)

I can answer your first post easily, Pyro...............Nobody at TN wrote that FAQ. It's the standard FAQ that comes with the forum software.......and the guy that wrote it is Swedish. I don't think I've ever seen a single forum that's bothered to edit the FAQ. (It's also the same FAQ used in PHP-Nuke portal software, I guarantee you you'll find the same errors)

Sorry about multi-posting but I keep finding things.

On the Affiliates page, both ModGuidez and WebWarrior did not work for me. Could just be a problem with their servers at the moment.

Also many usernames have websites that are just spam/pornographic.

All of those users had the same join date, 0 posts, and a few random checks on websites showed porn/spam so I just listed them all.

*Sigh* I hate dial-up, I click subit post and it takes me to a blank page. Going back then posting again causes a double post apparently, sorry. But why can't I at least delete the last one?

*Sigh again* Really fuss? Hmm well I guess I just wasted a lot of my time waith the FAQ page then...

Nah, it's good to point out. As many websites as I've buit using phpBB, I still forget to edit the FAQ.

Usernames w/0 postcounts should be pruned in the database automatically, no worries about those either.

Those are not really editable. I wouldn't worry to much about the forum engine, this is more about glaring errors in the forums or on the main site.

That page is really picky to edit so it is best we just don't even go there.
