Battlefield 2 demo

Okay downloaded, it any is anyone thinking that EA is stupid for not putting higher resos on the demo?

I dunno if its whole game, but for the demo you can only go to 1280x968, which is lame because i run @ 1280x1024, and am forced to play it at 1024x768 which gives me choppy/blurry gameplay.

hmm, polarpyro can set his to 1600x1200, maybe my copy is being lame.

I thought it might have too, so i reinstalled the demo, and nope no game check, josh seems to have this problem too, and he has a 6800 :/

So how's the action? I'll download it later this week but I just wanted to know what you guys thought of the game....not to steal the thread or anything.

and just for the record I play all my games at 1024X768 it ain't bad at all.

For anyone who does have this demo,i found out that the voip feature does work, press "B", the catch is it only allows you to talk to members in your squad, which makes sense, or the game would but alot of useless chatter

btw my game only allows reso. up to 1024x768 so i think it detects the max reso. of ur monitor ...

and wtf is up with changing the gfx in this game .. it has to do that re-render shite it takes like 10 minutes

I've downloaded FOUR different versions of the demo and none of them will let me install this thing! Imagine! thats 2 gigs of time waiting to play this... my problem is this:

When I go to install, it loads up the install wizard and then tells me I need to have administrator rights to run setup! I'm not on a network but I used to be a long time ago with this same hard drive. I run Win98SE can someone help me??? I tried everything I could and I still can't install it... I've never had any problems installing any other software on this computer before... HELP!

you must be logged onto your computer as Admin. Your user account may not have admin rights.

Ppl I have solved all of our video reso problems! with a bit of googling:

Change your Video.con file which is located in your
Battlefield 2 demo\mods\bf2\Settings\Profiles\Default

anyways you can change your video reso here,

Neither of those seemed to work, oh well on a 19" it doesn't look at all bad at 1200 x 900 or whatever that res is. This game does kick some ass though, especially flying into a teammate and punishing him for it! haha =P
