Just wondering if anyone knew about what to do when one side of your headphones has spat the dummy? my left phone has slowly lost its sound probably due to wiring problems.
Has anyone else had this problem with their headphones? I want to know if it is worth fixing or just getting a new pair?
they are Logitec Precision Gaming Headphones and i have had them for almost 4 months.
Cheers

Sounds like a defective product to me, unless there are obvious signs of abuse, i would take / return them to wherever you purchased them, i'm sure they have at least a 1 year warranty. _________________ Yeah....... ok |

Eh, it doesn't take much to bork a pair of 'phones. Even just rolling over the wire with your chair a time or two can break a connection. Or, if you're like me........had a few too many beers, stood up to get another, forgot you had 'phones on.......... _________________ Big enough to scare you |

oh yeah..i do that DAILY at work....minus the beer, and plus OTHER daily necessary medications...=]
If the prob is in the ear piece, and you know how to solder...youre good......
If the problem is in the wire, and you know how to E-Tape...youre good.
However, if you tap the ear, and wiggle the wire and nothing changes....i would venture to agree with the above.... _________________

yeah, but if there's no VISIBLE signs of abuse, you have a good chance at getting them replaced. _________________ Yeah....... ok |

Your not alone chrisyo021 :)
Yeah that is sad to hear. Looks like im another statistic as well, or victim.
Embark on my journey with the PC precision Headset.
I purchased these logitech pc precision headset ohh umm about 6-8 months ago iw as rapped in their design and affordable price (not that im a tight) :), being a pc technician, obviously i can get these speakers close to wholesale price (which mark up on hardware these days isnt alot)and did alot of researching into these headphones cause i wanted sumthing reliable.
So 3 weeks into it i rolled over teh cord once and then had the saem issue with left speaker, then mic wouldnt work i took 2 things into account
1. oops i rolled over the cord and know what to expect after that happens.
2. Hardware tolerance with mass production products, from time to time your gonna get sumthing that can fail either straight outta the box or within warranty period.
Now getting to the point of it all :) :) :), i returned those speakers which took 2-3 weeks to come back from warranty as there wasnt any of them in stock because they sold like hot cakes. sweet 2nd pair !!! straight outta box mic is screwed ! so back they go again !!!! 3rd set i bought and another set for my friend for his bday and just yesterday my mic is screwed and his mic is screwed. and for me to get sound i need to hand my audio plug half way out of sound card to get some kinda sound.
Im very dissapointed with them and im trying to look into upgrading to sumthing else maybe those german brand headset as they were the other ones i was looking at. I wouldnt reccomend these to anyone anymore and im hoping the ppl who purchased those headsets from me dont run into any trouble soon, if they do i would like to upgrade them straightt away to sumthing else rather than go through the grief !. thought id share that with u all especially the ones looking into buying them. they only thing i would give them a plus on is that they are very very comfortable.
(there's my winge for the day) _________________ If it aint broke dont fix it. |

Anything like headphones, keyboards, mice and printers I try to buy locally due to their failure rate.
The Extra $5 in cost is worth it. _________________ Owner & Administrator
