Don't worry guys I am not abandoning the TN team. It is just for a couple of days and then I will be back and dropping more cands than you can shake a stick at. So enjoy the pie you have today for tomorrow it might be gone

I think you'll find Dr. Weazel is helping in the attempt to dethrone powerful bovine.
More important, team TN is still holding ~8th or 9th in the weekly position without large cands from a single member. Thanks to all who have kicked in the last couple-o-months.
BTW, I'm a machine down in my herd...I had the good fortune to sell a unit I had crunching. I'll have a replacement soon enough, though.

2o is right I have been lending my firepower to help out XS take down the DPC. But I have been going through a very difficult internal struggle as well. I have been pondering completely switching teams. This has not been easy for me, as I think about it daily. The draw at XS is they have a great team of guys and are very supportive of each other. And there isn't much of the team spirit here. But still it didn't feel right to leave and take all the cands that I produced for TN. It also doesn't feel right to not support my friends here.
So as you can see this has been troubling me alot. And still to this point I haven't come to a clear conclusion on what I will do. I need your help on this guys. Talk to me, voice your opinion. Tell me you love me, hate me, want to kick my tail. It doesnt matter just tell me.

Don't be too stressed weaze. We appreciate your contributions and leadership thus far. But, we only have 9 or 10 contributing members out of a few thousand board members- definitely little "team spirit." But even if you're not contributing cands for us, you are contributing to D2OL - which is a good cause. Besides, you still post on our forum, so we aren't totally losing you.

That is correct Sally. And if you look on the list you will see XS_TheCollective. That is the subteam that I am supporting with a few other people from XS.

I would never leave the forums. That just wouldn't happen. At the most I would be away from the D2OL team for a while. Just to help push them past DPC as fast as possible. But I would start posting numbers again for TN shortly after that event.

yeah they have been seated at the #1 spot for a long time and they feel smug in their position. They have come out and said that XS couldn't take them down before the end of the year. So XS is pulling out all of the stops to make this happen. And with all the help that DD has given me with setting up the DX systems I feel that I should help them in this task.
I have also thought of asking you guys, team TN to help out as well. But didnt know how that would go over with everyone.

That's not too bad of an idea- who wouldn't want to join a winning team?

Looking at your stats, XS is pulling around 8x the cands of DPC daily. We could then just switch back when our mission is accomplished.

Weaz, I've been in the same situation for a while myself. I've been considering re-joining my old team. I would of course leave all my cands here with the TN team. The team spirit just is'nt what it should be, but maybe I've been spoiled by hanging around with pirates too long.

I will ramp up my production over the next few days, I have a couple of extra machines (dumpster finds) that I will add. I will decide what to do depending on how the TNers respond over the next month or so.

Time to overclock my rusty bucket fleet and see what it can do.

I am only leaving for a short time. But will be back with more of a fleet than before. When I return I will be trying to build some team spirit and a sense of competition here at TN.

You should find a way for some sort of giveaway like the Corsair memory last year to be based on some sort of D2OL competition! Not sure exactly what, but it'd be cool as can be!

I have three of them built. The fourth is waiting on heat sinks. Out of the three that are running now, two are "stealth" nodes. And the other is contributing to XSTC. Pair #5 are waiting for their motherboard. One thing I think I am going to do too, is get more of the OCZ BH-5 memory. It along with the Hyper-X, seems to run best at 3.1v

And yes they are actively cooled. I think I will have to take a picture of how i did it. I may come up with a way that covers more area to use on my 840 machine as well.
Right now I am testing to see exactly how many cands my 840EE@3.6 will produce on a daily basis. So keep an eye on the Free_DC stats to see what she does. I am thinking in the neighborhood of 320-350 a day. We shall see!
