Hey guys need your help. I am doing a major system overhaul, and I need to pic up a PCI-E videocard for my new system. Now the requrements are as follows.
-dual head (can be just VGA)
-prefer Nivida, I like there dual display better
-I really do not need a gaming card (just needs to run Halo)
-main use is for web / graphic design
-I am on a tight budget
Thanks! |

Well...........how tight a budget? You're looking at a plain-jane 6600 on a tight budget. Those run about $100 give or take, depending on where you look. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

| 1 word of caution stay away from video cards with turbo cache for nvidia and hyper memory for ati it uses some of your ram for the card and it can lead to very poor performence. there was an article done by a hardware review site a very well respected one i might add and i would have to find it again cause it came out a while ago. I think it was Anandtech that did the aricle on turbo cache and hyper memory. |

Nice looking boards, the 6600's should do you well....
TC is perhaps not the best s0lution for g4ming, because of the system memory being so slow compared to on board memory. BUT....gaming is not your main use, according to your list. It IS however, an inexpensive method to increase the w0rking memory of a card. _________________ .
