First off Noxide PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save yourself some trouble and either return the P5ND2 or blow it up. To date there are way too many issues with the C19 chipset no matter the manufacturer. Abit, Asus, MSI, Gigabyte all have problems with their NF4 IE boards. If you want SLI for intel wait for the i975X chipset coming in Jan 06. The NF4 IE are very unstable. Won't run memory at its rated speed or timings. Has random shut down issues. This is a chipset to bypass and not touch with a 10' pole.

I knew I read about not getting that board some where! Thanks man, I owe you one. will return today......when the store opens.
Yes I agree with weaz cuz my wife and I have the same everything. Mobo, RAM, HDD, etc... Only thing different is the CPU. Sure my cpu runs hotter than hell but its faster I have a 3.2 @ 4.11 presscot and my wife, 2.4 @ 3.1 northwood. I say its hot as hell cuz it heats up our bed room at night when Im playing BF2. My wife leaves the room cuz "It too hot in here! Gaw...Turn it off and go to bed already!" SO I turn it up and fly in a chopper for 15min. BTW....Room temp ( w/ ac on and pc off) 70*F. Room temp (ac constantly running, pc on) 80*F
Im set for winter. thumbright

The only thing that limted them was cooling....IMO the Northy was a more PRACTICAL overclocker.....as it didnt require as much cooling.....but the pressie would yield higher results for the next level Tweaker....

That's what I meant ^^^.

I'm not counting the new dual cores, just the comparison between a Northwood and Prescott of the same approximate speeds. Doesn't mean a Pressie won't OC nicely, it just requires more cooling to do so.

also the later pressies get about about heat. Like the 6xx series isnt as hot as the s478 cpus that came out first. And the 6 series are beasts when it comes to overclocking.

When you return that board see if they have the P5WD2 premium. That is a wonderful board.
