First attempt to Oc my new ram.



Gonna relax the timings now and see what i can do on this Abit AV8 mobo.
Ram is from mushkin( this is the set they sent me after 3rd RMA and some Big problems) with silver heat spreader. but it is not listed on their website.
Here is the SPD settings ( it is stable at 2-2-2-6 at ddr 3200 )

good luck with that. I got my PDP up to 226 no problem with only changing the CAS Latency from 2 to 2.5. Runs stable and fast. just make sure you ghive it the voltage it needs once you bring up the speed.

you know what i learned the other day, if you get a revision E venice or a dual core processor you can run at DDR500 without overclocking.

yeah the rev E added DDR500 support. Which is really cool but since the A64 really wasnt bandwidth starved it doesnt add too much to gaming or other performance. About the only place you see big gains is in memory bandwidth benchmarks. But cool support none the less. It may be a better addition to the dualcore though.
