which OS?

i would like to know what yall think would be more effective in running games windows 98 or windows XP?

windows xp because its got the latest and greatest dirext x drivers able to be installed without a hitch.

XP....98 is no longer supported, for the most part. Some newer software does not even support it. That will be the way more and more. Therefore, there will be a time when you can't play a game you want to on 98.

XP. No question.

Along with what they said, most new games require DX9, which is not supported under Win98.

Plus, Microsoft themselves don't support 98 anymore........that oughta tell ya.

rgr that... windows 2000(mentioned2k cuz its cheapa) is also a great choice including xp. 98 is too '98 :)
