Yes you need to reinstall EVERYTHING . Going from 32- 64 isn't like upgrading for win 98 to xp.(When reformatting do a reg format not the quick 1 )ts a whole new Operating system .It had every driver for me except my sound , which sound blaster has 64 bit drives right on their web site. Also if you are worried about normal windows progams they will work the same as if u were using reg 32 bit windows

well you can use a lot more ram :), if you use a 64bit program the program will most likely run twice as fast than the same program in 32bit windows, also games will have a tone more textures.

Farcry for 64bit looks so much more better than the regular 32bit one.

Check out these screenshots from Anandtech.

The only problem with 64 bit windows is many games are not made for it yet and they will not run. There is only a few exceptions to this like the far cry patch.
You will not be able to run MANY of the games out there though, until they release a patch for all of them. Which who knows how long that will take.

I have windows 64 and can play EVERY game . Only thing was for Americas army i needed to download a install fix, other than that everything runs so smooth and sometimes it appears to be faster even tho it is a 32 bit application. Fry cry in 64 bit is friggen amazing, thought it had good graphics and amazing color depth with xp but this blows my mind. Crouched in the jungle listening to all the sounds ( soundblaster has 64 bit drivers , so you hear with 64 bit too) and looking at the textures on leaves with blood splatterd on it, truely amazing. Can't wait till more are 64 bit.

Yeah, XP64 *should* be able to run every game you have. You might have to run in compatability mode, but I sortof doubt it.

The only issues I've heard of so far involve drivers not being available, but that seems to have smoothed out. Everything I have has 64 bit drivers available, with the exception of a really old network card I'm using to network two machines.
