eh ppl dont make fun i still have a athlon xp okay jeeze
ahaha... so here it is... im sicca have dual channel ram that i cant even use... so like ... wouldnt running a higher cpu bus speed(250) while running the ram at like(200) allow the ram to run faster rite.. cuz its dual channel ... 6.4gbs rite? so what ima try to do is o/c fsb to 250 and divide the ram so its 200... but the way it works its just gonna be 240 and ram 200...
but o well the damn divider doesnt work .. any setting for anything it freezes it up after i exit bios.. .having it so that i have to clear cmos and stuff
... and even if this does work.. would the ram be running faster.. i can only assume it would ... _________________ I finally got an award=OFFICIAL ROCKSTEADY AWARD and then one time... at tweaknews dene gave me a A+++++++....

No, it does'nt work that way, you really need to keep the ram fairly close to the FSB speed of the CPU to get the best bandwith efficiency (sp?)
The ONLY way to improve performance with a higher FSB speed is to run both CPU FSB and RAM at the same FSB speed, in this case 250, which is 500DDR and run the CPU with a LOWER multiplier to keep it as close to it's stock speed or it's best and most stable overclocked speed. running the system at the same CPU clock speed but on a much higher FSB will speed up the entire system, but there are limitations on how far you can go. depending on your CPU you may / prolly WILL have trouble hitting 500DDR speeds, also the RAM MUST be able to run DDR500 even if it is REALLY loose timings it will still be way faster than stock speed. Higher voltages and better cooling are a must to get this to work right, though you may get lucky and have a system that can do this without too much hassle.
