Daemon Tools only reads files......it's an optical drive emulator, not a burner.
It depends on what you want to do, really. If you're talking backups of your hard drive, Nero is still the best. I'm a bit hesitant to recommend anything that can copy a game CD or copyrighted DVD. I will say, though, that I've always had good luck with BlindWrite and CloneCD to make images of my games. Not 100% perfect, but they do a fine job. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

ya, right now i only need to be able to read .bin and .iso files. making images i can do with nero.
i used to use alcohal 120% for EVRYTHING, but it seems to have issues with AMD systems (or at least the ones i tried to install it on). I was building an Athlon xp 3000+ based system a while back and tried to install alcohal on there - during instal the computer restarted on it's own and when it booted back up to windows i got an error message saying it had just recoverd from a serious error. After that, device manager kept saying that a "plug and play bios extension" wasn't working right and i couldn't fix that without reinstalling windows.
I tried to install it again on my Athlon 64 -based system and had teh exact same thing happen. But i've never had isses on intel comps. go figure. _________________ DFI Nforce 4 SLI-DR

Then Daemon Tools is what you want. I use it to play games (I rip my game cd's to my hard drive, so they load faster, and the CD's are safe in the boxes).
Just remember, though, you MAY have to turn it off for most new games. SafeDisk, in particular, won't allow a game to run if there's a virtual drive detected in your system. _________________ Big enough to scare you |
