Hey Guys. Im planning to do some overclocking and i was wondering which is the best K8 cpu cooler i should get. I was down to these two:
Thermaltake Sonic Tower Heatsink (Can add a fan)
Gigabyte 3D Rocket Pro
The sonic tower is known to be better than the Thermalright xp-120 and the Gigabyte 3D Rocket but the Sonic tower weighs 690grams and im a bit scared that it might rip off my motherboard or warp it.
I dont want anything too noisy.
Plzz help me decide!!! _________________ | AMD Athlon X2 4600+ (939) | DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra D | Seagate 40GB/WD 80GB/Maxtor 250GB | OcZ 1GB PC3200 Premier Edition | Asus EN7600GT | Antec Neo HE 550W | Vista was crappy, back to XP MCE

to be completely honest with you I would go with a Thermalright or swiftech part. Either of these are going to be very good heatsinks. But if I was in the market for a new heatsink I would be looking at the Thermalright XP-90C. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

and the XP-90C is an all copper unit as well. I know from experience the XP-90 is a good product to start with and the all copper part should perform even better. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

The sonic tower is known to be a better cooler than the xp 120. And it is quite cheap at 65$ AU
heres a small review

The 3D rocket is pretty crap and noisy and the Sonic Tower is a bitch to install because of its large size and 690g weight .
So ive decided to exclude both of those. I would like to get the thermalright xp 90 but its $80AU + Fan + Motherboard metal backplate because my friggin mboard has a plastic one.
I think i should go with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 because it seems to be a very efficient cooler and is quite cheap at $44AU. But i had a look at another HSF the Aerocool HT-101 SuperConductor.
Can you please make some suggestions, im soo confused _________________ | AMD Athlon X2 4600+ (939) | DFI Lanparty NF4 Ultra D | Seagate 40GB/WD 80GB/Maxtor 250GB | OcZ 1GB PC3200 Premier Edition | Asus EN7600GT | Antec Neo HE 550W | Vista was crappy, back to XP MCE
