OK, my mom's new laptop came in (she needs it cause I'm taking my comps with me to college) and while she's on vacation for the next week, I'm cleaning it up for her. It's a HP, so of course it has lots of useless crap preinstalled. I've gotten rid of most everything, but there's an iPod thing in there, as well as iTunes. I don't, and she doesn't, want either on there.

I tried http://www.tweaknews.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2484&highlight=i+cannot+delete <<that method, but it didn't work. The comp still told me that my "access was denied." It really getting annoying...any help?

u want to remove itunes as well as the ipod service?

its as simple as uninstalling it ... but if that doesnt work

boot into safe mode. try the uninstall from there.. if that doesnt work.. try what ftr has writtin up while u are in safe mode.

you might have to stop the service in admin tools though...

Hmm...I could've sworn that I posted this...but it's not showing up.

Anyway, booting in safe mode worked, I tried it just before I came back to read your response, lol. Thanks anyway!
