I cant seem to find any specs on this sub. I have one in my car and it sound pretty kickin, but i know its just not perfect.

Im running it through a bandpass with a soundstream reference 500sx amp, with the coils running in parallel, and the low ohm light isnt on in the amp.... i could have SWORN this should be two ohms.... perhaps i should run in series?

The only thing I can find is for the Alum10N, 800w, dual 6ohm coils. Wiring in parallel should put you at 3 ohms, series would put you at 12 ohms.

All I can tell you is that 10" subs don't put out the "boom" of 12 or 15", and aluminum cone drivers tend to be brighter, almost harsh, from my expeirence.

I can drive down next weekend and look at it, if you want. This weekend is pretty much out, but next Saturday is open. You buy the beer.

heh heh heh...i could always take a trip up there too.....=D

see i dont like 12"s and the 15 needs more CAR to sound right..... the 10 is perfect. Im not too worried about the sound as in my opinion it sounds damn good..... it was just the ohmage i was concerned with..... BUT.....this brings up a good point..... i know ou couldnt find specs on MY sub.... but i think you are right...this is a 6 ohmer....so...with three of these things....all run in parallel....what would that be?

not consiering this...just curious....

Parallel would be........um........I always get this backwards.

3 of them run in parallel should be around 1.2-1.5 ohms, WAY too low for most amps to handle.

I like 10's myself, I just really don't like aluminum cones. (Ask Jamie about Hartke, I'll bet he hates them too).

I need to make a trip down anyway, got a ton of VST's and Refills for Jamie.....plus, the girls there look better than the girls here.

3 6ohm subs would be running at 1ohm. I have 3 of the Alum 12Qs and they are way not what i was expecting when i got them. so Im looking to sale them and get a 15" kicker solo-L7.

im not a fan of the L7's sound...but they sure are loud.

Yeah the audiobahn alone is pretty nice...but i dont find it well rounded enough. Who knows..im still getting used to the sound space inside my car...i have very little room to work with.....sound wise...

Well last years alum12Qs were made for as little as .66 cubic feet. That really dont take up much room, and sounds great in smaller areas. A friend of mine has 3 in a Hatchback Civic. Sounds as good as mine in my T-Bird!
