watch the KILLZONE 2 video. Im sure many of you will agree that those are the best graphics of all time. I mean hl2 looks like crap compared to that. (note that is an IN GAME video)

I will most definately be buying my playstation 3 next spring.

I saw some of the xbox 360 and the graphics dont look as good as the p3's in my opinion (not saying it wont be a good console) but all i know is my jaw dropped when i saw that killzone 2 video. You gotta admit The explosions and smoke in that video are just amazing

Aggreed its so damn good!!!

But, my only ponder is this....the graphics shown are on consoles that are not out for at least another year, by which time they may even delay (they always do). So if you consider PC's graphics now, then reconsider in a year (better than unreal 3 etc) then the PS3 wont be so special when they come round to releasing it. Fair enough it looks good now, no use if we cant play it though

Put it this way....Xmas 2003, top games being CoD graphically, Xmas 2004, top games being Far Cry, Hl2 and Doom 3 graphically. Quite a boost for just one year IMO.

I'm not posting this because I hate Sony...in fact, I'll be getting a PS2 in a month or less, and I *was* considering getting a PS3, but not anymore I don't think. Hopefully the Xbox360 outperforms my expectations of it; if not then...who knows?

to be honest...i dont care which company pulls out the best conosle...all i know is that i will buy the best one.......if i buy one.

PS3 has my eye at the moment.

(OFF TOPIC: Is it just me, or is the Nintendo DS a total screw up in comparison to the PSP......ooooooo it has a touch screen, yay now i can touch stuff.)

well from what i saw ( i played with one in a store) and it had these really corny 2 second games, where maybe you unroll some toliet paper. Im sure there are probably better games out there, but for the price i dont want to unroll digital toliet paper with a stylus.

Yeah you played WarioWare...I hate that game, personally. :\ It's rediculous. What I don't understand, is that consoles and games for them have been selling really well, while PC games have slacked off a bit in sales. So why does Sony want to move towards abandoning their current fanbase, while simultaneously moving into PC space...where they may possibly make less money? It just doesn't make sense to me... Discuss?

One final thing...from what I've been seeing, the PS3 is likely to cost $500+, unless Sony wants to take a HUGE loss on the hardware and try to recoup that $$ in the software department.

The Xbox 360 is supposed to retail for about $300. And as Spiegel just said the players are going to be taking a loss on the hardware and trying to make the money on content.

You will probably find that at the end of the day the PS3 will cos the same as the PS2 when that was originally released.

Remember, the PS1 was £300 ($510 ish) when it was released, so was the PS2 even though everyone was saying "OMG, it has DVD, CD AND GAMES, its going to cost us at least £500", it never did though.

I feel that the PS3 wont cost over £350, but thats my intuition...and im prolly wrong
