Star Wars Galaxies- Total Experience

I know, I've mentioned the game before, but it's deserving of a new post, since so much has changed.

(for better or worse, depends on your point of view)

The retail Total Experience due out May 24th includes the original An Empire Divided, the Jump to Lightspeed expansion, and the new Rage of the Wookiees expansion, for $29.95. Not a bad deal, if you ask me.......I paid $30 for AED, and another $20 for JTL........anyway.

Obviously, it's an MMORPG, you can read my other post on that. However, SOE has changed things (for better or worse, depending on your point of view), so it's actually closer to WoW or EQ2 now, as far as the gameplay. Personally, I'm enjoying it, even after months of playing it pre-Combat Upgrade (CU). Professions have changed a bit (I'm a Master Bounty Hunter, Master Rifleman, part scout, and part Pistoleer), but there's still over 50 different professions to learn, from combat, to crafting/artisans, doctor, combat medic, various melee professions like swordsman and Teras Kasi (unarmed), and you can mix and match them to best fit your play-style. Of course, you can become a Jedi, but it's EXTREMELY hard (no joke, 11 months in and I'm only halfway there), but it's a mixed bag anyway........I'm a bounty hunter, I kill Jedi.........

Anyway, since the price is so low now (it is subscription-based, $15 for 30 days, or you can use a 60 day game card for $30), plus, if you already play EQ2, or any other Station Access game from SOE, you can get a discount on all of them............I thought I'd pitch it again to TN gamers. You get 30 days free (might be 14 now, but I'm not sure) to try it out, before you start paying. Come hang out with me and my guild!

The original game gives you Corellia, Tatooine, Naboo, Rori, Dantooine, Dathomir, Talus, Yavin, and Endor, each with their own quests, JTL puts you in space, with missions and quests there (plus a few quests that combine both), RotW now gives you Kashyyyk, with (I guess) a ton of new quests, items, fun stuff. Plus, with the player cities, dueling, cantinas, and so on, you'd be hard pressed to be bored, at least for a year or so.

I'm on the Eclipse server, just create a character there, and send a /tell or ingame email to Twitchie (so named because I have epilepsy...... ) We have a guild of 70 or so members, a few Jedi, artisans, weaponsmiths, armorsmiths, etc.......so I can hook you up to get you going. You have to be Rebel or Neutral, though, we don't take Imperials......we DO kill them occasionally, though.

I'm not really a gamer (HL2 bored me, Doom 3 never lasted more than 20 minutes), but this one has kept me involved for 11 months now.......I like it.

I'm the 8 foot tall, seriously overweight Wookiee. I'm easy to find.
