I bought this sound system at wal-mart on clearance for $50.00 US and it is great! Sound is clear and solid. But this morning i booted my pc and BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! (The speakers were powerd on prior to boot) so i shut it down and powerd the speakers down. Rebooted the PC and every thing was ok. So that means i have to have the Speakers powered off before PC boot-up. What is happenning?

That's wierd. They're not a digital connection, there's no reason for them to do that......unless they're improperly wired, but even then, you'd just be out of phase.

I'd have to guess it's something else, not the speakers. One looooong beep typically indicates a video card problem, so check those connections, reseat the card, blah blah.

I'd take them back, and exchange them. Sounds like there's something wrong in there, like a power leak to the soundcard or something. Don't keep using them!!

It's WalMart, they'll exchange them with no hassle.
