I've been checking this guy's website out for some while now. He seems to be a pretty smart follow. Certainly does his homework.
Currently, he's down on ol' Jeeves.

Yep...it's kind of an eye opener.
We really knew this stuff was going on, but this guy's documenting it.

He keeps his site up to date pretty well also. About once a week.

Yup, this is all stuff I've known about for some time, but this guy actually spent months documenting it all. It's a common practice to include ONE adware program with a free download (although how that makes revenue, I'm not entirely sure), but the cascading effect is enormous. Figure your mom installs one freeware program, with "one" adware program. That adware program might have 5 others bundled with it, again, for revenue, then those five programs might have 5 programs apiece that you "consent" to........it's staggering.
