To run it on several computers, you will have to get a corporate license.

What you want to do is intall XP, and let the activation run out, 60 days I believe it is, then on the last few days download the first service pack.
The one glitch that microsoft never adressed was the fact that the first service pack resets the activation, so you can go another two months without activation. I think after that it would be safe to back-up and format and start from scratch again. After all with all the spy-ware going around these days, a format every 4 months isn't the worst thing in the world. _________________ If I was to be any letter in the alphabet, I would be 12 |

when you activate the first system, the dell in your case, ms gets a print (essentially) of your dell's hardware specs. so it will not allow you to activate it from another system. which means you have to either get another license or purchase another copy.
that's just the ms life, now that we have activations. _________________ i'm the fool, he's the fanboy. together we are Fanboy and Fool... Tweaknews Reviewers |

They only allow I think three hardware changes before you will have to call Microsoft and explain why you need to change your hardware so frequently. _________________ Owner & Administrator
