Asus 9800XT

I am still trying to figure out my new 9800XT from Asus. My 3DMark2001SE scores seem to be a bit low. My system is:

Abit IC7Max3
P4 2.4C @ 3.38
OCZ 4200EL at 5:4
Asus 9800XT

I have tried all the drivers from the Asus to the 3.8 and 3.9 Catalyst Drivers. My scores have been all over the place really. My 3DMark 2003 scores seem on par at about 6300-6700 depending on the overclock. My 3Dmark 2001SE scores seem low and range from 17000-17600 while overclocking the Vcard. Brand new power supply Aspire 500Watt also. I hear people on the net getting anywhere from the high 17000's to 19000 with this exact setup except my cpu is overclocked higher. Will you get a better result with a stock speed 3.0C or 3.2C when compared to an overclocked 2.4C @ 3.2 or 3.4. I know the memory will run at 1:1 which might acount for the scores. I guess I am just trying to feel out my card and am a little paranoid because it was rather expensive. Game performance is great. In Call of Duty with VSync on at 1280 *1028 with 4x 4x the framerate rarily if ever dips below 60 except for the heated scenes like the Stalingrad bumrush ( 20FPS) but never really when you actually are playing. I guess I am just being paranoid. Just wonderring what peoples experiences have been with this card or a 9800XT with similar setup. Thanx
