wasd or arrows?

which keys do you use to navigate your guy in an fps?

i personaly use wasd, bucuz you have q,e,r,f,g, and t to assign to stuff and have them right at your finger tips.

What, no vote for "both"? hiding

It really depends on the game. I'm a lefty, usually, but I've been using my mouse right-handed for awhile now. Occasionally, though, for FPS games, I'll go back to lefty, which means arrow keys.

I have a friend who plays right-handed on the arrows, and it looks frickin' goofy, I don't see how he does it

Arrows....prolly why 2y posted this...cause I'm old-school. I'm just used to it.

wasd because in a game like cs it strafes when u press a or d, Where as if u use the arrow keys it turs u around

wasd...no contest :\ MUCH easier to jump(spacebar in EVERY game I own, lol)

But other than that...the only game I've used the arrow keys for at all in the past year or so would be neverwinter nights....and MSword

I used arrows for about 2-3years... now it's WASD :)

Arrow keys.

I'm left-handed and played a host of FPS games. I resisted using the mouse at first but eventually settled down with the following keys:

Up, Down, Strafe Left, Strafe Right - Arrow Keys
Look Up, Look Down, Turn Left, Turn Right - Mouse
Jump - Num0
Duck - NumPeriod
Shift - Walk
Reload - Enter
Use - Space or Mouse3
Centre view - End

With Diablo2, I have the belt set to 0-3 on the numeric keypad and the skill keys set to F1-F12, WheelUp, WheelDown, Mouse3 and Num- (always TP).

The last time I used WASD was Elite for the BBC
