|
|
Reformatted hardie before my Cuz told me he had no CD for his Audigy 2 Value soundcard. I've been on Creatives website looking and can't find basic drivers, just updates. Someone told me that you can order a new CD from Creative, but I can't see where they offer this service.
Can ya help a fella out?
TIA |

Just for reference.......the Creative "updates" are actually the whole drivers, not just patches. You could download the latest "patch" and be just fine.......I don't know why they label it that way, really. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

| They may be, but they wouldn't install until I got some "original" drivers for the card. Then it was smooth sailing. |

wierd........oh well, maybe they changed things recently. I know I just did the same thing for a Live Platinum, and the update drivers worked fine........ _________________ Big enough to scare you |

Alright, I ordered an Audigy 2 Value Card, which, obviously, Mojo didn't have, because those drivers don't work for mine.
Any thoughts? |

OK, thanks for your help I guess nobody looks here anymore.
I received the CD from Creative today and installed the drivers. All is well. Just wish there was some place I could stick them on the internet to screw over Creative and their evil plan to force people to buy this CD (which my friend got for free because he gave them hell).
Thanks for your time,

That is good that you got the CD for free. And agree that it is screwed that you cant just get the drivers from the website. But I guess that would be too easy. I am not going to be using a Creative card in my next build and am also about to pull all the sound cards out that I have now. As I have noticed some problem with Creative's drivers with SP2. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!
