you wouldnt know how much a difference the fan can make til you change it out. before i just had a 92mm LED case fan slapped on the sp-94. idle temps around ~47-49, load around ~57. so figured might as well see if a fan made a diff. went around looking for reviews on diff fans. thought about a delta or tornado, but i knew i didnt want something uber loud. and since i have a window... i wanted a pretty fan. looked around and found this

http://www.frozencpu.com/fan-112.html

read good things about it and tried it out. i set it on to be controlled by the fan controller and set it out on max, finding the best placement and compromise between noise and temp. cpu idled at 44/45. read up on it a little more and took that front grille off it, and brought it down 2 more degrees. :-) idling at 42/43 (gonna have to try it at load)

tell you what, $20 sure went a long ways :-)

same way you attach any other fan to it- those springy metal clips. at least as far as when the ufo grille was on, it was secure. but after taking (breaking) it off, it doesnt really hold on well. so i'll have to get some screws long enough to thread a reg 92mm grille into the holes for the 80-92mm adapter at the bottom of the fan, and use that grille as something for those clips to grip to
