|
|
The water block on the TT Big Water is some what deffected. Ive had it for three weeks with my computer O/C and running fine and the top arcrylic half of it cracked were the fittings screw into, thus frying my month old BFG 6800 Ultra! But dont get me wrong, its a Great system for the price but i would recomend getting a FULL Metal water block to replace the OEM type. I Bought a Zalman ZM-WB2 Gold to replace it.
http://www.zalmanusa.com/usa/product/view.asp?idx=84&code=005009
The only thing is that you'll have to use a little more effort to putt the TTBW hoses on to the smallest size fittings that comes with the zalman.
So Poeple....Be advised! Cuz i went through hell trying to get my BFG 6800 to be exchanged! But i just payed the $100.00 US difference for the H2O Cooled! _________________ Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe, AM2 4600 x2, 150GB Raptor Exteme, 7900GTX in SLI Corsair XMS DDR2 CAS3, Custom DD Water Cooling |

Sorry to hear that........it's one of the things I was wondering about with the BigWater CPU block. Since that's where most of the heat is coming from, and acrylic isn't exactly known for it's heat absorbing abilities, it sortof concerned me.
At least you got it fixed. _________________ Big enough to scare you |

hey thanx. But its really good on cooling. the pump is pretty good too. Its wierd cuz i hand tighen the hose fittings and thats were it cracked from. and i tighten the block down just enough to hold in place cuz the block had a groove on it to hold it any wayz. _________________ Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe, AM2 4600 x2, 150GB Raptor Exteme, 7900GTX in SLI Corsair XMS DDR2 CAS3, Custom DD Water Cooling |

man i sold my messed up water block with a piece of tube to my friend today. He said he had an idea so i sold it for $20.00 US. I asked him what was he going to use it for. He said "Oh cool! You can see the smoke flow through there!" And a new tool was born...... I personally dont do that but....I guess every one gets a vission every now and then. Also he didnt know what it was until I told him. Tripped out I say. _________________ Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe, AM2 4600 x2, 150GB Raptor Exteme, 7900GTX in SLI Corsair XMS DDR2 CAS3, Custom DD Water Cooling |

Free love dude, , peace out man!
I love these smileys!
Argh! Just finished an essay about the Capital Asset Pricing Model and the Modigliani and Miller model and I need a drink (and sleep).
Good to see a water block being put to good use. Lucky water block has a second chance in life! _________________

I talked to my friend today and he said it worked great. According to him the cold copper made "it" smooth. He showed his friends, and now his friends want to if i can get like three of them. I know they sell some after market ones at frys for like $35.00 U.S.. Hell if they'er will'n to pay....... _________________ Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe, AM2 4600 x2, 150GB Raptor Exteme, 7900GTX in SLI Corsair XMS DDR2 CAS3, Custom DD Water Cooling |

Uhmmm dunno what the grand Pwner will say about this (family website and all) but ICE makes "it" MUCH smoother, as it's a water block you could add at peltier element to the block to chill it down nice and frosty. Heh, you may have just found a new item to sell in an e-bay shop!
Of course, I know nothing of this subject and it's all guess work..........yeah, thats it, guess work!.
