prime95 strictly tests your computer for stability by searching for prime numbers in ungodly long decimal strings, it will continue as long as you let it, or untill it encounters an error.
if you want feedback on performance, you need to try one of the Futuremark prog's, (3DMark 03, and 05), or Aquamark 03 _________________ Yeah....... ok |

so basically the reason you let it run the torutur test is to verify that your ocmp is stable.. this is why u want it to run for 24 hrs??

| nope it will just take longer to run the processes. Prime 95 only points out system instabilities my forcing the computer to work at 100 load and under the stress if its unstable its calculations wont match prime 95 numbers and so it fails the test. There is no worry about breaking ur computer. |

^^^^^^^ agreed!
the only thing you should worry about is your max temp....its a good way to test your cooling solutions as well....=D _________________

And do NOT run winamp and chat online while browsing TN when you are running Prime95 either. Don't ask how I came to find out this important piece of information. Just trust me. =] _________________ "....Or as almost every word in a sentence; Tweak the tweaking tweakers!"

| ... there isnt anything wrong with doing that... it will just put ur system under more stress and find calculation flaws more quickly. |

Yeah, or it could over heat it and cause the safety shut down to take effect. =] _________________ "....Or as almost every word in a sentence; Tweak the tweaking tweakers!"

Yes... I believe my words to you were "I blew up my computer, but its working now"
Back onto topic here. All I am saying is unless you have good cooling, be wary of running anything other than Prime95 when testing. _________________ "....Or as almost every word in a sentence; Tweak the tweaking tweakers!"
