I think it's partially IE's problem. But I have notice that the site automatically refresh itself and usually when that happens ie will cause error. Wonder maybe it's somehow related.

yes I have noticed this as well. There is alot of refreshing going on and its not just for the ads (as the ads dont change when the refresh occurs). And if you click to change threads or post a message or the like, it has caused problems in the past.

Yeah I'm getting a refresh every 30 seconds or so, it's been driving me nuts for weeks ( wndblows makes a "click" sound every time ), but I thought it was just because my OS was screwed on one of my comps, but it happens on all the others too. I did a check for any adware / malware but my systems seem clean. I have all the windows firewalls turned off, the only fire wall I have is the one on my router. Seems to me it the same 4 adverts that refresh (goes to quick to see exactly which ones it is though).

I don't know if it still happens under Firefox because it doesn't show the adverts, so it *might* not just be IE that is causing this. Maybe something on the ad server? strangely I do see something flash up during a reload that has a word that looks like "adsonar" - some kind of "ping" checking users??

If this can be stoped it would save my sanity, the clicking sound is getting to me!

Refresh.....Hmmm...did start about the same time now that you mention it. ***scratches head***
I just assumed that it was the ads refreshing. You think this might be caused by clicking a submit within a certain time of a refresh?

Yep, that's what keeps refreshing...it does it on firefox too, but I don't think I've ever gotten a DNS error and had the page crash or anything. Also, turn all your win xp sounds off...saves a few resources, plus you don't have to hear those annoying clicks

Yeah, now that you mention it.....
The banner scrolls and refreshes every time..
Still I guess it means that Nate can fit more adds with less clutter so its cool by me. Also it loads last so you can just click the stop icon next to refresh if you are on dialup (thats what I do from home)
