If I am not mistaken, the composite cable you're speaking of is the coax cable? If that is the case, on the AIW it is for a line IN.

I had a sound problem when hooking up my V wonder. What I ended up doing was hooking the CD audio straight from the card to the baord. I think it even comes with the cable, or I might have had oen lying around, I am not sure.

naw ... man... the aiw comes with a video output "dongle" which has both svideo and composite... i.e. the little yellow video wire... i run that to my tv.. i get my desktop etc.. but any video played back is black... media player can be open and it wont display video...

thanks man...

Hmm.. Have you tried it at different resolutions? (I know if the desktop goes through then it shouldn't be the problem, but ya never know)

I don't mean to be offensive or insulting, but are you sure that you are able to play the video when its on your monitor? Things like this do get over-looked.

Have you tried playing it in different players? i.e. winamp.. windows media player.. Quicktime.

If you cant even see the desktop on the tv then perhaps you simply need to tinker with the screen position in the properties tab. I had to do that when i first hooked up my tv to my computer.

Did you try going to the ATI website and downloading the latest drivers?

Are you running it as a clone or as a second display (i.e. "span" or an extension of the desktop or w.e.)????

Right click the little ATI icon in the bottom right corner. >>settings>>display settings>>display. make sure the TV is on? Many times it isn't.

Hooray! I'm not as worthless as you all say.

Solution: Go into the ati control panel. Click the displays tab and make sure the TV power button is on.

its actually not the cards prob... but the programming of the software. Most players out there do not support dual display modes. So what you can do is either A) set your second display (i.e. TV) to a extended desktop set to 800x600 resolution (actual tv is like 640x400 or so) that way its not totally digitized, or B) you can set your second display as the primary. although i found option b troublesome when you cancel the actual monitor and cant read the screen to see what your doing. I do know that Power DVD does infact support dual monitor displays. everything else though only really work with the extended desktop
