| Does Asetek state, (roughly) how often you have to clean the cooling system? |

Not really, you could easily go over a year if you keep your cooling system clean and properly maintained with little to not air in the resevoir. _________________ Owner & Administrator

Actually, I would deem it less or at least the same work as a air cooler.
Yea, just found out that they really liked how the review was written so they are sending a TRIPLE radiator and a GPU and northbridge waterblock. _________________ Owner & Administrator

Very good article Nathan! Glad to see TN getting wet!
I started out buying a Asetek watercooling kit. The only parts that I ended up using are the pump, res, and the power connections. The kit I got was one of the very first ones though and the radiator wasnt the greatest. Also the waterblock that I received had on of the "ears" broken off of it so that I wasnt able to use it on a P4 installation.
The radiator that is now used by Asetek and several others is a very good one. In fact it is the same type as I have been using for sometime. But I bought mine else where so I had to find screws to fasten the fans on all by myself. I will post the size that I use when I get home and can verify the size. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

| so if i wear to get this kit would it be good to have for my future AMD64 system? i wont be ocing at all, thats why im getting 3500+ 90nm and the MSI K8n Neo2, instead of the ASUS mobo and the 3200+ 90nm. but i would like it just to have that fact be that my computer is wet :) |

I really like this cooling system but I don't know if it fits on my system...
So perhaps some of you can help me answering my questions:
Does this system fit on my machine?
Xaser-III-Case
P4-Northwood 3,2GHz (should be no problem from what I've read so far)
ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe Mainboard
I'm also interested in cooling my GPU and Northbridge chipset. Is this possible with that system? A problem could be my graphics-card which is an ASUS Radeon 9800XT. As far as I know it's NOT the standard-9800XT-model. For example it has 2 fans and some different cooler than all the other 9800XT-cards like Sapphire and MSI...
Has anyone an idea if the system still fits on my machine?
thx in advance for your help

I've got another question:
When trying to find an online-shop to buy that system I stumbled over LOTS of different models of Waterchill-cooling systems.
What is the exact model-no. of that system? I didn't find any model named "Antarctica", just something like "KT03 - L20" or "KT12A - L30"...
Thx for your help! |

well they offer alot of different kits so you just have to compare to what you need.
These type of kits you have to make them fit in your case. They arent the cute little fit in anything type kits. But the cooling performance that you get is out standing.
And as far as wanting to cool other devices with that kit, as stated in the article it would be more than sufficient to do so. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!

I would check their prices on their site and look at the distributors they have listed for pricing. _________________ Owner & Administrator

The one thing missing from your great review is perhaps one of the most important in my eyes...... how to fit the system in your case..
I mean, with a complete set as the Asetek, I think the general audience of this forum would be able to assemble the set correctly, taking the time to read the instructions and you review.
Since your review made me seriously consider going for an Asetek set, the one thing that I find the biggest challenge is how to fit it into my case.
But ok, your review the product itself...but I still think a big part of the total picture is how to make it fit into a case...how to place the diff components etc.
Anyways, enough of my ramblings...I found this great movie review of the waterchill that might help peeps like myself considering getting one of these babies.
No offense Phantom, but we don't support 3dgameman here. _________________ Opteron170 @ 2.8 Ghz - NexXxoS XP AMD64, NexXxoS NVXP-3, NexXxoS NB-SLI1 Northbridge

with all the different styles, and sizes of cases, it would be next to Impossible to go into the "Fitting" aspect of watercooling, without a 50 page review
Best advice is: look at a lot of examples of other peoples work, there are plenty of project logs, and galleries to look at.
I am seriosly considering getting my feet "WET" also, and after literally STARING at my case for hours, the question is on my mind also, and I don't have a "Small" case either. the biggest thing for me is where to put that radiator? _________________ Yeah....... ok |

Fitting any watercooling system into any case is going to be a custom job and the only way to tell where to install the parts is by having them in hand and trying them in different locations. Or you can do a custom install on the outside of the case like I have on mine. There is always the option of installing everything in the case like how I have Bunni's system. Now I guess I need to get new pics up in the Case Gallery! _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!
