u can definatly try it... but first set ur w/c system up and run it for a while... taking note of temperatures... and then after wards drain some water and add the nos...
btw when u postin picks of ur rig.. i have the xaser3 v1000a also modded like a mofo |

hope it doesn't condensate the vapours .. and the whole thing just blows due to liquid..
hmm .. can it cool down to that temps ?? i mean really "-"ss ??

You don't use it so much for the cooling performance, but to keep algae from forming in the cooling system. _________________ Owner & Administrator

NO!

I highly recommend the water wetter.
It is available everywhere and does a great job keeping the pump lubricated along with the anti fungal and enhanced cooling.
Might as well stick to what works. _________________ Owner & Administrator

I have to agree with Nate on this one, though standard antifreez for car engines will do the same job, for a standard water cooler setup I would use about 15 -25% AF to water. more antifreez or extra water additives DO NOT mean cooler temps, infact it can cause temps to increase in concentrations above25 - 30%, you only need strong concentrations when the water is being activley cooled by peltier elements or vapour phase cooling.
The main advantages to the water additives are corosion inhibitors and bacteria / alge growth control. Some additives like "water wetter" can help drop CPU temps by a couple of deg. C, but the water will NEVER be cooler, it can only improve the heat transfer of the water by a few percent.
Most of the car rad additives are almost identical to water wetter, though some boast about extra "cooling", you will never be able to realise the lower temps as youe CPU will not produce the higher temps found in an engine cooling system. These additive usually only work above 60 -70deg C, if at all.
Water wetter has been used for a number of years in computer water cooling rigs and has proven to help the cooling effect of the water block. It has also been used for a long enough period for any potential problems to have surfaced and be posted on the web.

^^^^agreed
but even using water wetter I havent noticed any drop in cpu temps versus just using water or even using about a 20% solution of antifreeze. But as SS said the temps dont get high enough for the difference to be noticed. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!
