I beat it yesterday. Best game I've ever played as well. I didn't want it to end. Having fun with mini-mods at the moment. The fun never ends

I beat it on normal and hard, either way most parts were far too easy on either setting. I'm having a lot of fun now using some slo-mo binds I put in the config, it's amazing how efficient the normal pistol can be at killing combine at range when you have time to line up the shots

I beat it, and was mad as hell for a couple of reasons. First, I was having too much fun and didn't want the game to end there, and Second, after possibly the greatest video game I've ever played, that ending was a little lame. It was like when you were watching a cool movie on VHS and the vcr eats the tape at the last five minutes of the movie.

Overall, it was awesome.

Actually, I thought the end was kinda cool...
Blastin' Combine with the Gravity-gun was AWESOME
just the fact that you are pretty much un-stoppable during the last level is the only disappointment i had.
but that non-stop grav-Gun Malay was the ShizzniT

True I agree with you on that, but what I was talking about was the ending with the G-man. I guess it tied together with the beginning of the game though.

At the end, it came off that it is an illusion created by the man in the suit. I couldn't help but think of The Matrix though, even though I have never seen it before.

HL1 wasn't meant for the PS2. I bet it's better on PC.

Hl1 on PS2 doesnt even compare to the PC version, it was a shame to see it on a console IMO...much like Doom 3, HL2 and Far Cry going on to the Xbox, they just wont compare to their PC partners

I STILL play HL1 sometimes, It is a Great Game
I could not even imagine playing HL 1 on a console

since I generaly despise the controllers on console games, and am much more comfortable with a mouse and keys, I don't even own a newer console system.
I do still have a N64, and a PS1 around here somewhere

I have a gamecube and I only really use it to play mario kart with my girlfriend, so it still has some use. But I agree, the controls are rather limiting.

I only use my PS2 for GTA and Sports games...only because sports games suck on PC and GTA SA doesnt exist on PC yet

I loved the paralleling in HL2. Both games start and end on a train ("In the meantime, this is where I get off.") Very nice. Gave you the sense that gman really isn't a very good guy. Though he did help you by keeping you alive for the explosion, and he helped the resistance by inserting you, he really comes across as heartless, just the way he should be. I got the feeling throughout the game taht I was watching a really immersive movie during the diologue and plot sequences, and that I was a real bad-ass James Bondish guy during the action (dodging the nades from the chopper in my airboat, listening to awesome rock music.)

Nice description

One thing i wish there was more of in HL2, is more music! The soundtrack to it is amazing, and yeah, its comparable to a high class movie.

Yeah, the music was really cool. I liked though how when you did hear some music, you knew you were really in for it. Especially the parts with the boat, I think I drove crazier when the music started.

Its long enough to make the payment worth it. It is a very fun game with a good storyline . . . you'll want to run out and buy a hl3 immediately after.

Yeah...this game is WELL worth the money, plus, when you finish playing the first round, there is a lot more to experiment with on the second, or third time through.

Also, you get CS:S, and HL 2 Deathmatch. both Awesome games, tho I've only played CS:S a few times, I play some Deathmatch nearly every evening
