Well I decided to get the 3200+ winchester core and with the extra money I am saving I would like to get some nice cooling products. Except I need you input on what the best cooling like heatsinks and fans. my case came with 5 fans
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-144-090&depa=1
Also this case comes with a fan controler. but how do you hook it up? does it only control one fan?
So im looking for a nice heatsink. I've heard both good and bad about the thermal XP-90 and the 120. I was looking at this too http://www.frozencpu.com/cpu-swi-11.html again I have not read anything on this. so your guys opinions really matter to me. also are there adpters for Heatsinks so a 90 or even a 120 could go on top? _________________ +!~Budweiser~!+ Spelt forwards and backwards

I recall just rading good things about a Thermaltake Tornado 12 Extreme. Check it out, read about it, adn then ask Yoshida anything you still want to know. _________________ "....Or as almost every word in a sentence; Tweak the tweaking tweakers!"

Volcano*** 12 Extreme

its a great cooler. Just if you need to run it at full rpms make sure you wont mind the noise cause it can get kinda loud.
Im not sure if your case controls just one fan or several. but If you are loking for a really good fan controller i suggest this zalman. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-999-251&depa=0 a really great controller, i use one on my rig. If you get this, the only thing is for the switches you need a bare wire connection. So do what i did and just bare some fan extension cables and use that instead of cutting your fan wires (thanks to racing87stang for that idea lol)
sorry i cant really answer your questions but those are some good alternatives. |

All the info I could find said that it has one controller in the front and one for the psu. |

I have dedicated my whole day looking at heatsinks. im a d0rk lol n e ways. ive been looking at other forums about the XP 120. Im seeing both good and bad things about it. does anybody here have this heatsink? and if u do do u like it? was it worth it. also thermalright recommend a panaflo 120 for this heatsink. should you go with they recommend or are there better ones out there

I think that heat sink would be so much better if it had copper fins. _________________ "....Or as almost every word in a sentence; Tweak the tweaking tweakers!"

that thing would be WAY too heavy with copper fins,
All the reviews I have read on the XP-120 have shown it to be a very effective heatsink _________________ Yeah....... ok |

| IMO you should get the SP-97 a vantec tornado 92mm and a vantec Nexus fan controler, best air setup i have yet to see. ive got 3 people useing this setup 2 with 3200+ newcastles and 1 with a 3.0C northwood, all have really great temps, and well thank god for the fan controler otherwise they would be driven crazy. |

WARNING! Although the vantec move ALOT of air, they can be VERY noisy. even with fan controllers, they can drive some people absolutely crazy. You might want to look into panaflow fans. They are quiet and move a decent amount of air.
Its hard to go wrong with a thermalright heatsink and some arctic silver 5 _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |

Quoted for good common sense.
Sure the tornado moves alot of air but it makes ALOT of noise. You can get efficient cooling without moving that much air and making that much noise. As Jay has said, panaflo makes some good fans and so does SilenX. And as far as the heatsinks go either the XP90 or the 120 will work for you. But the 90 is easier to work with and still is a great performer. Dont rule out Swiftech heatsinks either, they perform very well and dont require alot of air flow to get the results. _________________ I tweaked and it tweaked back! So I Tweaked some more!
