Bought a semi junk rig on ebay for 160. (2100+,256mb ddr400,dvdrom, ati 8500, water cooled). Thought this might be a fun project to fix it up and make it look nice. I need to sand and completely repaint the case, and find a new face for it (broke during shipping). All the hardware is still in good form. Heres some pics.

plan on keeping it for a work horse when im done, or selling it to a friend. any suggestions or comments? (when its all done im definately gonna see how high this baby will oc)

that was a very good buy!! You should have fun getting your feet wet with the watercooling set-up. The radiator looks to be a quality early unit, as for the other parts I cant make out what they are though. But like I said it should be fun.

Looking purdy. Are you planning on overclocking any more with the watercooling? Have you considered it? =P

in the pictures, it looks like whoever had that b4 painted it or touched it up with fingernail polish. Good-luck sanding that thing. Make it pretty!

finished this rig up earlier today. the water cooler usually kept the cpu (amd 2100+) around 31c-34c. Sadly i didnt have time to take pics when it was powered up and running but here are some i took after i finished putting it together.

didnt i do a great job sanding that case? lol jk i broke down and bought a new one.

front of the case.

I sold it to my friend for 245, this is his jump from an old 350mhz pII

Looks good. I thought for sure we were going to convince you to put the water cooling in your rig though. Either way... great job.
