Been reading a bazillion of reviews, and I'm gonna start the door to door raking thing, 10 bucks per house..

Anyway, say I make 300-500 dollars cdn.

I got two choices.

NCIX.com has a Non pro Sapp, 9800 for 351 dollars, and my local shop has a Sapp, 9800 PRO. for 509 dollars

NCIX: 351 + S/H, taxes.
Local: +tax.

estimated out, the non pro is 420, and the PRO is 575.

What is the difference between the two, all I see through reviews is the frequencies..

I hear of the BIOS trick to change a NP to a PRO.
What causes it to work, Is it like the 9500 and the L shaped boards? I'm gonna be OCing it too, so will the PRO OC better than the non pro, or the non pro modded?

Lastly, Any kind of info on the cooler? From what I've seen, it's an active Al Cooler, and I got a Vantec IceBerg4 sitting here which is a Cu cooler, nicely lapped, and looks nice. Lights up the case with Blue LEDs.

The following link is for stock Radeons, not Sapphires, but the same applies.

The diffrence aside from a few extra features, things like TV-Out, is in the memory and GPU speeds. The PRO's are faster. However, through some diligent work it is possible to flash the card and run it oc'ed as a 9800 pro. I was unable to find my link for this......but I'd say that you would be better off buying the non-pro and spending the extra money on more memory.
