Scanning and demagnification

Hey guys,

I would like to scan all the cards in my wallet, both sides. Is it possible that the cards with magnetic strips will fail to work afterwards?

No, the light that is used by scanners/copiers in no way will hurt the card.

Just out of curiosity, what is it?
Is it harmful when people scan their faces?

I think it is only light, but you should do some research though.
