Need some new heatsinks......

.....for some old processors. What we are looking for is the various type of heatsinks used on the slot 1 cpu's (ie PII, PIII, and celeron). As some of the customers have these old systems and the fans on the heatsink are dying. And our mission is to "please make my computer work again".

If anyone has an idea where we would be able to get a good source of these I would be grateful. And you might win a Twinkie!

Most the time I just replace the fan with new one. You can usually get the self tapping screws to hit the HS in at least two places.
Remember, that the p2's and celery's barely need a fan just air flow and a sink.
I go to fry's and buy their s370 cheapo hsf and steal the fan off of it.
Redo the old sink with some AS3 or such.

we have replaced the fans where we can but sometimes its not always possible. I guess we will have to find a way of getting it done.

I had found some other places that had the slot 1 coolers but they only had the SECC II ones. As there are three styles of the dang slot 1's. Thanks for your help!

I've got a few of the old heatsinks AND processors, but all the fans are dead too. I managed to make a shroud that accepts a 60mm fan and placed that over the center of the heatsink. the air gets pushed out to the ends of the heatsink.
