^^ Agreed. The thermal bad is actually pretty useless. Get yourself some AS5 and apply a layer that is thin enough that you can almost make out the writing on the cpu. I suspect that your case temps are fairly high too. You may find that this is the cause for your gfx card problems too. _________________ Phenom II x4 955 @ Stock

bviously you have to temove the thermal pad 1st. You can carefully peel it off then use isopropyl alchohol to get the rest off. Good luck _________________ Phenom II x4 955 @ Stock

ya welcome
That case temp seems pretty normal. I would say you need to sort out your CPU heat issue before you look at your GFX problem as it might be related, an overheating CPU can also cause the problem you mentioned in your thread in GFX cards and monitors. Try the AS5 and let us know how it goes. _________________ Phenom II x4 955 @ Stock

Perhaps I am misunderstanding you, but you're saying you don't like the stock hsf because it gets hot? If it's getting that hot, it is doing what it is supposed to do. The round fan that comes with the newer LGA775 are actually fairly decent, especially for being stock. Perhaps you could give us some temps to let us know what she is running at. |
Question why did u change your cpu fan/heatsink? |
I am using an aftermarket sink because I had heard from a few sources that the stock Intel fan was loud. So, I never even touched it. My bro is using his stock hsf, and I have not heard any complaints. |
