Could anyone offer some overclocking advice for my system below? I purchased the motherboard and memory with the intent to overclock them comfortably, but not too extreme. I've browsed some OC reviews, but many of them are using either the 2.4 or the 3+ P4's, not the 2.8 that I have.
I'm aiming for a decent system for everyday tasks plus some occassional high-end gaming and DV editing.
Base System:
. P4 2.8 HT 800MHz FSB 512Kb with stock heatsink & fan
. DFI LanParty Pro875 (Canterwood chipset)
. ATI Radeon 9800 (non-pro) 128Mb
. 1Gb (512Mb x 2) Dual Channel Corsair TwinX DDR400 PC3200
. single Western Digital WD1200JBRTL 7200rpm IDE 160GB, ATA-100, 9.0ms, 8MB cache SE
. Antec 350W PSU
Notes:
. standard case includes a couple of extra fans, in addition to the PSU and chip-mounted fans
. system also includes DVD+RW, CDROM, superdisk & standard floppy
Any suggestions would be appreciated! |
