I bought the one with g man cause looked a bit more scary

did any of you guys have to wait for like 15 hours and 27 minutes and 32 seconds so far at a page that says product registration, your subscripion has not been completed cause steam servers are unable to complete the transaction???

Im stuck and ive been paitient for like 15 hours!

No probs getting it off of steam for me...took like 3-4 hours to get all the content down (got the silver pkg) and had to zip it to get it to fit on a dvd.
But, I listened to my fellow forum mates and got it off steam. (yes I hate them too)

Well i have the hl2 voucher and i also bought the game, hl2 automaticly chose my hl2 voucher key so i didnt have any problems "validating it", all together took about 1hour on dial up. im trying to sell my other key to my friends

Is anyone else having to validate files almost every time they log onto steam? Each time it takes about 5-8 minutes. WTF?

Nope, since the original install i think it has done it once and it took me less than 30 seconds.

Mine had to validate them the first couple of times too. There didn't seem to be any real reason of why it did one time, but not the next. I agree though I had to start the game, go make dinner, do the laundry, and by the time I got back it was finally ready to play. Other times it took about 30-45 seconds.
