Total noobie question (coming from a noob :D) about RAM

Ok, i have no idea what all the numbers mean when talking about ram eg: DDR 400 / 333 / 266, im takin a guess and sayin thats probably a type of connection it has with the motherboard (plz dont laugh at me

) and with PCI****, what do the numbers that follow the 'PCI' mean?

Ok, here, I will point you in a direction to learn about memory.

They are the different memory specifications and the higher the number, the faster the memory's capabilities.

PCI What? Clarify that for me....

sorry , i typed PCI instead of PC... i dont know why

what is the difference between ram with a PC2700 and a PC3200 in its description, because i have no idea - i am just guessin the higher the better

PC2700 = DDR333
PC3200 = DDR400
PC3500 = DDR433
PC3700 = DDR466
PC4000 = DDR500
