Hey guys, I was wondering if u can help me out with my new LCD.

I got a radeon 9700, and XP, I wanna connect my monitor with DVI, but eveytime i do so, when my Compture starts up it start going black out. Like it goes black then it comes up, its so anooying. In desktop is the same thing, I try to do something and it goes black then it comes up, like everytime i clcik on the mouse or a progarm. Can u guys please help me out?

Make sure that the DVI is set to be your primary display in your display properties.

Other than that, I don't know that monitor and it could be possibly defective.

How do I change primary display?

I dont think is defencisve cause i got like 3 days ago.

Go into your ATI display properties and change it.

i dont think is a defective product, because inside games it works fine, no black outs, only on desktop it does that.

Maybe you have your monitor refresh rate set too high. Did you uninstall the previous monitor driver and set the refresh rate to defaults?

What is the refresh rate set at?

What is the max supported refresh rate of the monitor at the resolution you are using?
