ok, im building my pc once i save up a decent sum of money but in the mean time ive just chucked an old motherboard with a 133mhz celeron processor in it, i hooked it all up and i turn it on, everything inside starts working except the monitor stays black. I try switching the power sw and restart sw around and also tryed other things but it just wont work. HELP

maybe the motherboard doesnt support the cpu? that'd be my guess

give us the specs on the CPU, memory, mobo, and psu so we can get a better picture

thanx for the help fellas but it's all good, ill just blow the little 133mhz off

im thinking of going:

soltek motherboard
socket 478 intel pentium 4 3.2gig cpu
1024mb memory
200gig western digital
radeon 9800 pro of some discription

thats all the gear il work on, ive already gotta old floppy disk drive and a 52xcd-rom burner. just wanted to know if you tweakers think that would be a good gaming machine, peace out[/img]

Yes, please resize your avator!

As far as your computer goes all you should have to do is: 1) resize your avator; 2) resize your avator; and 3) resize your avator
All should work normally from there out

This isn't quite enough information for us to help you properly. You will have to post all your system specs if you still want help.

That new pc you are building would be pretty nice, but make sure you get a p4 C class chip and not and E. Also, i'm not convinced about the soltek motherboard.

PLEASE resize your avator!!!!

you should chose a MSI, GIGABYTE or ABIT for gaming i think correct me if im wrong

the avator really needs to be changed
p.s change the size of your avator its way to big

ABIT IMO, tho ePox seems to be great for AMD (ask JW)

AVATAR SHOULD BE NO LARGER THAN 6k and 80*80 pixels...i know you are new, but it does say
