I mean I understand that they come running stock at 400, 433, 466, and 500mhz respectively.

But which do I want?

Ok here are my concerns.

1-Would like to have the best rig which is reasonably possible... I am considering either the new Abit IC7-G IIMAX or the Chaintech Zenith 9CJS

2- I would therefore like to purchase whichever ram is justifiable for overclocking abilities (If I can only push the 2.4 and motherboard to 3.3Gig, what the point of having PC4200?)

3-Money is a concern as I dont want to spend so much on ram that it nullifies the saving of overclocking.

4- If at all possible it would be nice to be able to keep warranty status.

I'm sure all you guru's realize by now that I dont really know what I'm talking about, but I do know what I want in the end.

(p.s. never OC'd RAM and I dont want to break it without warranty.)

If I were you, I'd definately go for the ABit, because it is one of the best overclocking boards around. It's up to you what RAM you get because I think you could get 3.3 out of some decent 3200, maybe Corsair or similar dual channel. To get that kind of speed you'll also need some good cooling. A few system fans and a decent copper heatsink such as a ThermalRight will set you on your way. I'm also in the same situation as you and money is of the essence.... hehe

Overclocking pretty much voids warranties. And trying to return RAM that you fried becuse of OC'ing is pretty much frowned upon.
