I was just wondering if anyone knew how to exract the audio off of a PS2 game. I'm trying to get the radio stations from San Andreas. On the PC version of Vice City I was able to extract the stations and then convert them to MP3's. But I don't know what to use for PS2 cds. I've been looking around the net and can't find crap. Anyone know how I could do this?

BAM

I dont think its possible.

The best way would be to hook up your PSU to an Audio system and record it the slow way then transfer it to your comp.

Anyway . . .
are you referring to 'hacking' the game and replacing the sound files? If so, i think FTR is on the right track with the dvd drive concept.

Do you happen to know what sound format each GTA uses? Are they the same?

A type of music file. You may be able to find plug-ins that will allow you to listen to it or convert it on your PC. Hopefully SA has the same sound format and they are completely interchangeable.

I don't wanna replace the audio, that would be to much work. I just want to find a way to convert them to mp3s. I ripped the audio sectiong of the cd to my hard drive and all the files are .PAK. I got pakscape that said it would unzip pak files but it gives me an error everytime..

Hmm well I was just messing around with pakscape and tried to open other .PAK files from my Far Cry demo and it gives me the same error. I thought San Andreas would have some kind of encryption but guess my pakscape just sucks. If anyone has anything else that will open .PAK files lt me know. Thanks.
