Ok, my graphics card takes up a single slot. So, I moved my pci fan blower (not to be confused with the pci fan card) into the pci slot next to the card. Basically there is very little room left between the two, less than 1cm. The blower's fan is facing the card's fan. Both fans are sucking air. Do you think I should leave it like this or move them back apart so as to allow more around the card?
thx. _________________

Does the PCI fan blower actually use power from the pci slot?!? If so, i would definately move it because it could be restricting some of the power and resources making it to the AGP slot (i.e. - your card won't run as stable or overclock as well as it could)
If it just screws into the pci slot and connects the the psu, i don't think you would have any problems. _________________ JayDubya aka JW Jay JD ^> ﺵ |

No, it's just one of those things that sucks air from within the case and blows it out the back through the back. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. But no, it doesn' t connect to the actual PCI slot. It's just the graphics card is right next to it.

I'd move that thing away....currently you are robbing air from the GPU fan by sucking in the opposite direction. Its like a tug of war that your smaller fan WON'T win _________________ |¤| |

Since there can't be a vacuum, isn't cooler air rushing in between the two 'devices' quickly and being sucked up by the graphics card a little too? And the hot air is being drawn away from the graphics card.
But your point taken... _________________
