i just had to do a chkdsk /r. and when i got bak into windoze i had to move all of my stuff from a folder to my desktop and my document folder. right after this windoze locked up and i had to reset it. now all of my files are missing and or deleted.
is there any way that i can get my files bak with system restore off?!! _________________ I finally got an award=OFFICIAL ROCKSTEADY AWARD and then one time... at tweaknews dene gave me a A+++++++....
and then...
i got a couple josh awards too

Either purchase undelete or Zero assumption recovery and use those.
Data is NEVER lost just removed from site and awaiting to be writtin over. Even with the file overwritten, it IS still possible to recover data, though it will mean the disk being shiped off to a recovery specialist. Something similar is used by the police for data recovery from computer hard disks. I know first hand what they can recover.
Most data can be recovered by the user if precautions are taken to minimise the amount of data written to the drive containing the lost data.
