CL=2 / 3-3-6 (According to the label sticker on RAM)
CPU:DDR = SPD (4:5 I think)
VCore = 1.7v (HW Doctor = 1.65v)
VRam = 2.7v (HW Doctor = 2.69v)
All other settings are at default
CPU Idle Temp: 47C
CPU Loaded: 60C
Voltage is sufficient and temperature is okay.
I read many P4-2.4B O/C to 3G articles on many Websites, I think my system and settings are similar to other systems which can be successfully O/Ced to 3G or higher.
However, I cannot overclock to anything higher than 156FBS (2.8G) or the system will reboot... I tried 2.9G, load WinXP okay, but system reboot after playing 1 minute of NBA2003Live or a few minutes of GTA Vice City. Same reboot happened after I changed CPU:RAM to 1:1
(1) The reboot is mostly due to the CPU? or the RAM? Not enough voltage? CPU or RAM physically is not good?
(2) Should I add more voltage to CPU and/or RAM? What is the highest limit of P4-2.4B CPU can accept? The limit for RAM is 3.1v (But IC7-G can go only as high as 2.8v)
(3) Should I lower the CL=2 to CL=2.5? Would that help stability?
(4) Should I buy a 2.4C CPU?
Thanks! _________________ Abit IC7-G
