ARGHHH HOW MUCH?

I just had to spend £43. 32p on a NEW wiper stalk switch for my car.

I went to the local scrap yard, but they did'nt have one that was in any useable shape. So I had to buy a new one from the company that made them. It's "supposed" to be coming tomorrow, though more likely in a few days. BAH!

£43 on a switch!, man that SUCKS. but it had to be done, when it rains I have to jam a screwdriver into the broken switch to make the wipers work. Not something easy to do when driving. Also did'nt want to have to explain to the police WHY there is a screwdriver sticking out of the plastic cowl right next to the ignition switch. I doubt the police would belive that I DIDN'T just Steal the car.

GRRRRR that just put a nice dent into the new comp project funds.

well from the sound of it the police might understand the screw driver in the column if they look at the whole car. As the best thet deterant is to have a car that no-one wants to steal. hehe

Man that is expensive for that switch but I guess if you need it you will pay for it.

That is an expensive switch. It's better to have a working one when you need it though. Don't worry about your computer funds. We've all invested way to much in this stuff anyway.

All done and dusted.

Took me 10 seconds to fit the switch, and an 20mins to get the wires plugged and wraped into the wiring loom.

I't nice to have working wipers again.

Still need to replace the fuse for that circuit, its way over rated, not going to risk a fire. prolly get that done tonight. Now I gota find all the bits of the cowl that fits over the switches and assemble all the the other bits I took off to fix other minor problems while I was at it.

Next up: the rubber suspension / sub frame mounts.
