Well, I got it Sunday, and started playing last night and it's great fun

However, I'm having some pretty bad lag problems

Well first I installed the new textures, found here -- http://www.graphics-by-john-p.com/textures/Thief-DS/index.shtml -- which are VERY heavy on normal maps...and they brought my system to it's knees, I must admit

So, I uninstalled them, but the game was still running poorly....I'm running at 1024x768 with about 75% realistic shadows and game detail now, and it's pretty smooth...

So, what this all leads up to is...does anyone have any idea why it's running so slowly? I'm pretty sure that my vid card has enough muscle to handle it, so I'm guessing maybe this game is more processor dependent (aka UT2k4)?

Oh, and I do reccomend this game, especially if you like the stealth genre...the AI is great and it's all around good fun

Try reinstalling the whole game, instead of just the textures.

I agree with Josh on this one. You'll probably have to reinstall the whole game and not just the textures.

I would get it but i'd rather have enough $ 4 HL2
